Pine Lodge Residential Care Home is owned by Mr Jonathan and Mrs Gaynor Thrush, who both have Registered Nursing backgrounds. Mr Thrush has owned and operated care homes in the south west since 1988. Orchard Care (South West) Ltd is responsible for the running of Pine Lodge. The company is named after Mr Thrush’s first care home, Orchard House, in Bideford in North Devon. Mr and Mrs Thrush also own Restgarth Care Home in Polperro, Cornwall.
Accommodation and Facilities
Pine Lodge is a comparatively modern building with the accommodation situated on two floors.
We have 20 rooms in total, with one registered for double occupancy. Most of the our bedrooms are ensuite. Residents are also able to use our communal areas including a dining room, TV lounge and the quiet lounge.
Stair lifts provide access to the first floor for those requiring assistance. The home is noted for its light and airy feel, with all our rooms being recently decorated.
Outdoors we have a delightful rose garden around which is a pleasant level walk and a seating area that is a definite favourite on warmer days.

Our Staff
Our Registered Manager is supported by a team of carers who are on duty 24 hours a day and help with all aspects of personal care. However, just as importantly, they are able to provide a friendly listening ear and will be happy to help with a variety of needs.
Pine Lodge is visited regularly by community nurses and local doctors, who can assist with any medical needs and requirements.
